Development of a Land Subsidence Fragility Curve in Bandung Basin: a Preliminary Result

Abstract Land subsidence has been historically detected and observed using the Global Positioning System (GPS) observations since year 2000. At present, Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) method is used to monitor ongoing in Bandung Basin. Due its significant rate, reaching up -20 cm/year, much evidence of impact found this area, e.g., damaged buildings. This study aims develop a land fragility curve for buildings, which very beneficial estimating economic losses developing risk map subsidence. The area will be focused on District Area. Field surveys are carried out areas that experience large More than 200 buildings surveyed estimate damage due Damage classification divided into four categories: heavy, medium, low, no based slope cracks building. Survey results showed occurred all these categories. modeling shows tendency increasing cause more severe damage. However, only preliminary result district further investigated optimal results.
